Before I buy a membership, can I try your service for free?
Eligible first-time callers may receive a free Livelinks trial before purchasing a paid membership. Call the access number for your area, select your language, and follow the prompts. When asked for a membership number, press the # key. If the phone number is eligible, the system will issue a trial. Continue calling from that same phone number to use the remaining trial time.

Can a Customer Service agent give me a Free Chat Singles Trial?
No. Livelinks Customer Service cannot manually issue a free trial. Trial eligibility is determined through the automated phone system when you call the Livelinks access number for your area.

Can I use my Free Chat Singles Trial from any phone?
No. A Livelinks free trial is tied to the phone number on which it was issued. Use that same phone number to access the remaining trial time. A phone number that has already received a trial is not eligible for another one.

Why isn't my Free Chat Singles Trial working?
Your Free Chat Singles Trial may not work if:
- Someone has already used a Free Chat Singles Trial from your phone number before.
- The system cannot read your phone number on call display. You can try to dial *82 to display your phone number to our system.
- There is no time left in the membership.
- It has been more than 7 days since your Free Chat Singles Trial was issued.
- You are calling Livelinks chat hotline number through long distance. Make sure you are calling a local Livelinks chat hotline phone number.

What do I do if I can't get a Free Trial?
If you are not eligible for a free trial, call the Livelinks number for your area to hear current paid membership options and promotions.

How do I get started with Livelinks Chatline?
Getting started takes four steps:
- Call the Livelinks access number for your area.
- Record and save a voice greeting that introduces you to other callers.
- Listen to other voice greetings and exchange private voice messages with people who interest you.
- Send or accept a connection request to begin a live phone conversation.
You remain in control of which messages you answer and which connection requests you accept. Messages received during a live conversation may be available afterward.

What if I receive a message that I find really interesting?
If a caller sends you a message and you are interested, you can reply with a private voice message. When you both want to talk live, send or accept a connection request to begin a one-to-one phone conversation.

What is not acceptable in a greeting on Livelinks Chatline?
We want everyone to have a positive and enjoyable experience using Livelinks Chatline. We will not tolerate:
- Any discrimination based on age, gender or race
- Any references to illegal activity
- Threats of violence or harm

What is Offline Messaging?
Offline Messaging is a Livelinks feature that lets eligible members hear recent greetings and exchange voice messages even when both people are not on the chatline at the same time. Depending on your settings and plan, Livelinks may send a text notification when a message is waiting, and saved messages may be available to replay later.

What should I say in my greeting?
Use your voice greeting to share a few genuine details about yourself and the kind of connection you hope to make. Speak clearly, keep the tone welcoming, mention one or two interests, and give other callers an easy conversation starter. Listen to the recording before saving it and re-record it if needed. Do not include contact details or other identifying information prohibited by the Livelinks Guidelines.

What is a Hot List?
The Hot List lets you save callers you’d like to connect with again. When someone on your Hot List comes online, you’ll be notified with their greeting, and you can send them a private message or request a live connection. If you’re offline, you can even get a text letting you know when someone from your Hot List is available.

What do I do if I receive a message from a caller that I'm not interested in?
Hear from someone who’s not your type? Just skip the message! If they’re really bugging you, you can even block them by pressing “7” on their greeting. Callers that you block can’t hear your greeting, and you won’t have to hear theirs either. If you believe their behavior crosses over to inappropriate, you can also flag them for us to review by pressing “7” again after blocking them.

What are Ice-Breakers?
Ice-Breakers are pre-recorded prompts that eligible Livelinks callers can use to start a conversation when they are unsure what to say. They provide a simple alternative to recording a custom opening message.

Do I need a membership to use Livelinks Chatline?
Women can currently use the basic Livelinks phone chat service without purchasing a paid membership. Optional membership features like offline-messaging, hot-listing, re-usable greetings and more. Livelinks local singles chatting is always free for women, whether you use a membership or not.

What do I do if I forget my Livelinks Chatline membership number or passcode?
Call Livelinks Customer Service at 1-800-984-6889 for help recovering your membership number or passcode. To protect the account, a representative may ask you to verify identifying or account information. Membership numbers are not provided by email.

Will the system warn me when my Livelinks Chatline Membership is about to run out of time?
Yes. The system informs you of your Membership balance each time you log on. You will be given the option to purchase more time when your balance is less than 20 minutes. The system will also warn you when your Membership balance reaches two minutes.

What should I do if someone asks for my Membership number online?
DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM. No one from Livelinks Chatline will ever contact you while you are in the system. If you get a message from someone claiming to be from Livelinks Chatline, make sure you block and flag them by pressing “7,” and then “7” again after hearing their message or greeting.

When is time deducted from my Livelinks Chatline Membership?
Membership time is deducted by the minute when you begin using the Live Connector to listen to other callers’ greetings. The phone system announces when paid time begins.

Which payment methods does Livelinks Chatline accept?

What if I want to be informed of specials/promotions/events?
Call the Livelinks phone system to hear current offers. If promotional text messages are available, you can opt in through the approved consent process. Message frequency, carrier rates, eligibility, and opt-out instructions should be disclosed when you subscribe.

Can I send a check or cash in the mail?
Checks can actually be used over the phone if you are a US customer. US and Canadian customers can pay by Western Union if you want to use cash to purchase. We don’t accept payments through the mail.

Will any charges show up on my phone bill?
Charges will not appear on your home phone bill if you are using our accepted payment methods listed above.

How will charges appear on my credit card statement?
When you use a credit or debit card to place your order online or on the phone, we use the discreet billing name “TELIGENCE” to keep your purchases private. The phone number that appears goes to our billing department, which does not divulge information unless they are talking to you.

How do I create a Livelinks Chatline Web Account?
To create a Livelinks Web Account:
- Select Sign In and then Sign Up on Livelinks.com.
- Enter a valid email address and create a password.
- Complete the human-verification step and submit the form.
- Open the confirmation email and select the verification link.
- Sign in and, if applicable, link your existing phone membership.
A Web Account can be used to manage eligible purchases, review order history, and control certain communications. Creating a Web Account does not replace the separate Livelinks phone membership.

I did not receive my purchase confirmation email. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder for the purchase-confirmation email. You can also sign in to your Livelinks Web Account and open Order History to confirm the purchase. If the order is not shown or the minutes were not added, call Customer Service at 1-800-984-6889.

I forgot my web password and your system says that I don't have an account. How do I recover my password?
Use the same email address that was used to create the Livelinks Web Account, then select Forgot Password on the sign-in page. Make sure that the email you have entered when you signed up/registered is the same as the email entered when requesting a new password. Keep in mind, the email is case-sensitive.Contact Customer Service if recovery still fails.

I try to login and your website tells me that I don't have an account.
Try the Forgot Email or Forgot Password links on the sign in page. If neither of these work, try creating a Web Account again and make sure to click the activation link in the email you receive upon set up.

I haven't received my “forgot password” email. How do I get one?
First check your Junk email folder for the “forgot password” email. If the email is not there, try adding info@livelinks.com to your email contacts and generate a new request for forgot password.

The link in the confirmation email does not work and tells me that I do not have an account. What do I do?
Livelinks Web Account confirmation links currently expire after 24 hours. If the link has expired or returns an account error, request a new confirmation email and use the most recent link. Note that this error message refers to your online Web Account, not your Livelinks Membership.
